Features
√ Exclusive product;
√ Easy instalation;
√ Exptional image quality;
√ Don't resize and don't process the input image;
√ High speed analog technology: Eliminate possible convertion lags;
√ Enables old TV sets to be used as a monitor (that doesn't have VGA inputs);
√ Individual RGB color intensity adjust;
√ Built with high quality SMD technology parts;
√ Developed specially to enable you to play PC emulators from consoles and arcade systems of the first to the fourth generation using the original resolutions on an old CRT TV set (but can be used with other technology TV sets too);
Compatibility
The VGA to Component Conveter is compatible with the following TV set technologies:
√ Analog TV sets (CRT/Tube/Projector) with Component Video input* (RCA connector Green/Blue/Red);
√ Digital TV sets (Plasma/LCD/LED/Projection) with Component Video input (RCA connector Green/Blue/Red);
(*) Be advised! On some older analog TV sets (CRT) the resolutions could be limited to 240p/480i because of the TV set tecnology available at the time, using resolutions greater that this resolutions could be damage the TV set.

Install
To install the VGA to Component Converter you will need the following items (that are not included in the package):
• VGA extension cable (DB-15) Male to Male;
• Component Video Cable;
• Compatible videocard (see above);
• Notebook or Personal Computer (PC) with Microsoft Windows (98/Me/2000/XP/Vista/7/8);
• Emulators and respective ROM files :);
With the above itens in hands follow the procedure below:
1 - With the computer turned off, physically install the Soft15-KHz compatible video card (see "compatibility") on the computer;
2 - Install the Video card drivers;
3 - Download the Soft-15KHz and the Quickres applications (see in downloads), and estract this contents to a folder;
4 - Run the Soft-15KHz application (as administrator), click on "Install 15KHz" button and close the application;
5 - Change the video resolution to something like 640x480 and turn off the PC;
6 - Plug the 9VDC power supply on AC outlet (any outlet with 90~240VAC voltage) and connect the power supply plug on the converter board. Never connect the converter to the PC without the power supply connected at the Converter!;
7 - Plug one point of the VGA cable (DB-15) at the videocard and another the other point at the VGA Converter;
8 - Do the same thing with the component cable, this time connecting one point at the VGA Converter and another at the component video input at the TV set;
9 - Turn on the PC and the TV set, on the TV set select the component video input that the component video cable was previously connected;
10 - If the TV set doesn't support Progressive Scan (like the most models on the market) the TV set image will be spinning or out of frame, this is normal and will be this way until the windows loads the video driver/Soft-15KHz.
11 - As the Windows starts the video resolution should be 640x480i (i stands for interlaced), change to a lower non-interlaced resolution if you wish, for example, 320x240p (p for progressive) using the Quickres application (in downloads) or on Windows video configuration window;
12 - All set! Now all you have to do is open your favorite emulator, load a ROM file and change to full screen resolution in the emulator, now you have a emulated system with original resolution!
